StarNavigator (starnavi.arijp.com) is operated by ARI Astrology Research Institute ("ARI", "we"), based in Tokyo, Japan. This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through StarNavigator, including trial accounts issued at events.

2. Information we collect

Account information: your name and email address, provided when you register interest or when a trial account is issued for you.

Birth data: dates, times, and places of birth that you enter to calculate charts, and the names or labels you attach to them.

Support communications: the content of inquiries you send to us.

Usage analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how the service is used. This involves cookies and pseudonymous usage data.

3. How we use your information

To provide and operate the service, including creating your account, calculating charts, and storing the data you save.

To manage trial accounts, including sending your login details, trial-period notices, and service announcements.

To respond to your inquiries and to improve the service.

When you use AI-assisted features (AI reports and chat), the chart data needed to generate the content is processed by third-party AI providers on our behalf. Your email address is not included in that processing.

4. Where your data is stored

Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure located in Tokyo, Japan. Japan holds data-protection adequacy decisions from both the EU and the UK, which permit the transfer of personal data from those regions to Japan.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers described above (cloud hosting, analytics, and AI processing), or where required by law.

6. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When a trial expires, your account is locked but your data is retained so that you can resume later. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time.

7. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at ari-support@arijp.com. We will respond within a reasonable period.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will post the updated version on this page.
